I’ve been in a rut lately, not very inspired, so I decided to get out some kitchen utensils and playing around with the camera a bit.  I have a set of extension tubes for my camera which are fun to use.  They basically fit between the camera and the lens, which changes the point at which the lens focuses, basically taking a regular lens and making it a macro lens.  In fact, my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens has to be within 2-3 inches of the object in focus.

Some are obvious, the others are probably even more obvious.  I wasn’t trying to get too abstract, though, but here are the photos.  Can you get them all right, though?

whip it good

salt of the earth

back to the grind

isn't it riveting?

the monster mash

don't give me any lip

iron sharpens iron

do you measure up?

can you handle it?

Thanks, Nika. These were kind of fun to do. One thing that’s fun about the extension tubes is that the bokeh completely blurs into nothing. Now, I want a lensbaby composer!
