Readers, give me some help!

Topic: Podcasting|

IPodcast
need some feedback, please!

First, I don’t know if it’s gauche to say it or not, but I really do appreciate those of you that read my blog.  I don’t do it just for myself; I try to have some decent information now and then.  Sometimes I just pass on stuff, sometimes I try to give others ideas, etc.

But now I’m thinking of doing podcasts, too.  These would be some audio-only, some video, podcasts talking about cooking related topics, maybe doing some interviews, stuff like that.  What I’d like to hear back from readers is what they’d be interested in hearing/seeing in podcasts.  The ideas I’ve come up with so far include:

  • How to video podcasts on prep and cooking of barbecue meats,
doing a different podcast on each of the competition meats as well as
podcasts on non-competition dishes like ABTs and prime rib.
  • How to video podcasts on bread baking.
  • Audio podcasts on grill/smoker selection.
  • Audio interviews with other competitors with the focus on getting started in barbecue competition.

So, what I need to hear back is whether these would be of interest, and
what other topics would you all like to see in a podcast?  Would you
subscribe?

One thing I’ve been working on formulating is what my point of view is
on cooking, the thing that makes my cooking different from someone
else’s.  I’m getting close to it, and I think it’s something like:

Cooking exceptional food from scratch, using traditional methods.

I like to cook with rubs I make myself.  I bake with sourdough starter
that I started from scratch.  Almost all of my cooking starts with very
basic ingredients that I combine myself, as opposed to buying sauces
and rubs and doughs that are just waiting to be used.

I would love to see all the from scratch things! Here in Europe it’s hard to get some of the things that are available off the shelf in the States.
I make all my rubs and glazes myself and would love to see how others do it!

    Noskos,

Thanks for the feedback… it really is appreciated. I like the from scratch stuff, mostly because I have complete control of the ingredients. I’ll be sure to show how I start from scratch on things, and when I break that rule and why.

    Curt

You can’t go wrong with “how to” just about anything.
