Kind of a competition movie

Topic: Video, Barbecue, Competition|

With this new MacBook Pro, I got some software that takes photos and lets me put them into a sort of photo movie. Here’s my first attempt, from the 2006 Blues-B-Q competition in Carmel, IN…

It’s kind a nice way to put photos into a montage with music… But I’m working on doing more real video, too. Glad you liked it, though!

Wow that was really cool. What software did you use? iPhoto? Very cool!!

Steve, Nice to see you back! I checked out your blog… Looks great! Now that you’ve done your first comp, when is the next?

I used iPhoto to group the photos, then iMovie HD to bring them into a template and add the Ken Burns effect and music to it. Then I just exported as a movie. It took me a few minutes just to learn the software, but only about 10 minutes to put it all together. The move to mac is pretty easy so far!

    Curt,

Nice Job! Much better than the windows movie maker I have to work with. That seals it, it is a Mac for my next personal computer.

Todd, I like this thing so much, there’s not much chance of me going back.

Noskos, definitely try it, and let me know where to find it when you do.
